Chateau Coutet 2008 Sauternes-Barsac
Winery : Chateau Coutet
THESE ARE 750ml BOTTLES!
Chateau Coutet is one of the largest estates in Barsac, which lies within the commune of Sauternes. Barsac's siltier soils tend to give wines of freshness and lightness and this has always been at the heart, and longevity, of the Coutet style. Chateau Coutet is a 1erCru Classe wine.
Matured in the cellars of Chateau Coutet, this 10 year old Sauternes is ready to grace your Christmas table with a range of food including double cream cheeses, Gruyere, rich chicken or duck liver pate, buttery pastry filled with a duxelles of fresh mushroom and dried porcini.
Neil Martin 92 points The Wine Advocate - '...floral, exuberant bouquet with white peach and grapefruit soaring from the glass...pure and vivacious...touches of ginger and dried orange rind that linger nicely in the mouth...' (tasted 2012)
