HOLYMAN 2023 PINOT NOIR

Joe Holyman and his family have been involved in growing grapes and making wine in Tasmania since 1984. They purchased the vineyard that was planted in 1986 in the Tamar Valley, north of Launceston. In 2008 the construction of the winery began on site. They have expanded their vineyard in recent years with more Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gruner Veltliner and Trousseau.

D&M Notes; 

The nose exhibits satsuma plum, blood sausage and wild thyme, there is also a gentle hint of black strap licorice, green peppercorns and swirling petrichor.

The palate has more to offer, its plush, bold and again exhibits blood plum, savoury meats (bresaola) and porcini powder. The tannins are assertive and powerful and hold the purity of fruit in balance.
