Kelvedon Estate 2024 Pinot Noir
Winery : Kelvedon Estate
Kelvedon Estate, like many wine producers on Tasmania's East Coast, diversified from fine merino sheep farming to wine production with the planting of vines in 1998. The first vintage was in 2002, with the focus predominantly on pinot noir.
D&M notes;
KELVEDON PINOT NOIR 2024 13.9%
Opening notes of blackcurrant and caramelised fig, also some fresh morels, turned earth (petrichor) and baby beets. The colour is so inky licorice black, which I can only imagine equates to the concentration and focus.
Blackberry coulis and a lemon curd crust that puckers up your palate. There is a great line to this wine. Nothing is 'rushed' it unfolds. fruit. oak, acids and tannins are melodic
It is very very good.
