Tasmanian Luxury Pinot SIX Pack
Winery : Various
Luxurious Tasmanian pinot that could hold its head high anywhere in the world. Special sites from the Tamar, Derwent, East Coast and Huon.
1 x 2015 Derwent Estate Calcaire Pinot Noir (Derwent): Named for the calcareous soils which underpin this part of the vineyard. Divinely textured pinot with ripe cherries and a hint of mocha. Goes superbly with slightly spicy Asian dishes.
1 x 2016 Home Hill Kelly's Reserve Pinot Noir (Huon ): One of Australia's top pinots, in vintage 2014 it won the Jimmy Watson Trophy. Kelly's Reserve is made from one of the original vineyard blocks, planted in 1995. Particularly dreamy and silky in this vintage, ripe cherries, cinnamon spice, viscosity and persistent flavours.
1 x 2015 Tamar Ridge Reserve Pinot Noir (Tamar): Made only in the best vintages from one of the Tamar's best sites, the Kayena vineyard. Raspberry fruits, savoury/meaty characters that will develop with more time in bottle, complex and persistent flavours. Harmonious.
1 x 2015 Goaty Hill Family Select Pinot Noir (Tamar ): GOLD MEDAL 2017 Royal Melbourne; GOLD MEDAL 2017 Tas Wine Show. Complex and integrated with dark cherry, plum, mocha and vanilla. There's plenty of fruit intensity in the mouth, layered and lingering flavours and the beginnings of silkiness.
1 x 2014 Dawson & James Pinot Noir (Derwent): GOLD MEDAL 2016 Royal Melbourne Wine Show; DOUBLE GOLD 2016 Six Nations Trophy. This is a powerful but seductive pinot. It satisfies on so many levels, smokiness mingles with plum and candied orange. Very full in the mouth with excellent fruit tannin backbone.
1 x 2014 Milton Dunbabin Family Reserve Pinot Noir (East Coast): This special wine adds an extra note of complexity and depth to the famously vivacious Milton style. It's made from a special parcel of fruit from Milton's old vines, transplanted to premium blocks on the top of the vineyard hill. Low-yielding vintage, wines have intensity and depth.
