Valli 2022 Pinot Noir Trio

As a winemaker, Valli's Grant Taylor aims to be invisible, letting each of the individual sites that make up this trio of Valli Pinots - Gibbston, Bendigo and Bannockburn- speak with clarity and uniqueness. Winemaker Jen Parr shares the same 'hands off' philosophy. Her outstanding contribution was recognised in the award of Gourmet Traveller WINE NZ Winemaker of the Year 2020.

This vintage celebrates 25 of Valli.

2022 Valli Gibbston Pinot:  The coolest of the Central Otago sub-regions with a long ripening season. The vineyard was planted by Grant in 1999/2000 in a row configuration and aspect to maximise sunlight hours.

2022 Valli Bannockburn Pinot: Planted in 2000, the Bannockburn vineyard is only 30km from Gibbston but the differences in climate result in wines with much darker fruits and denser structures.

2022 Valli Bendigo Pinot: Grant was involved with developing number of sites in Bendigo for vines. Chinaman’s Terrace quickly became his favourite – the higher elevation of this vineyard taming the warm aspects of this sub-region.
