The style is always smooth and luxurious and often drinks more appealingly in youth (and performs better in wine shows) than the focussed single vineyard range which sits above. At a price in the mid $40s, Cellar Selection Pinots are fantastic value for money.

These pinots always deliver more than you expect, impressing with beguiling aromas and super-lush mouthfeel. Along with red and dark cherries there's a note of savoury mushroom/game/umami which serves to make the pinot even more exotic.
