Evenfall 2022 Pinot Noir

Winery : Evenfall

$48.00 - $288.00

Evenfall is situated on one of the oldest vineyard sites in the Tamar Valley, planted at Legana by Richard Power in the 1972. It was first known as Powercourt Vineyard, later Elmslie, and now Evenfall. This vintage, the first release under the Evenhall label, is a blend of Tamar and Derwent Valley fruit. The winemaker is Tas Vintners Liam McElhinney, winemaker for the outstanding Lowestoft range.

Michele's notes: Rich and glittering hues. The aromas open with fruity notes of plum, vibrant raspberry and currant, tempered with wafts of chocolate and fresh herbs (think Italian Amari) and liquorice. The perfume becomes more complex with breathing. Generously soft in the mouth, but with pinot energy. Delicious charry/caramel notes complement the fruit. Spice at the last, notably anise and pepper. Lip-smacking.
