Vintage 2012 was pretty bold in style; with seven years bottle age, the wines are in perfect form.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2015 Morningside Pinot Noir (COAL R V): \u003cspan style=\"color: #999999;\"\u003eThis classic Coal River Valley Pinot regularly pops up in my mix. Peter Bosworth makes some of the 'un-sung' wines of the Coal River Valley but Showcase attendees always know to seek him out. The flavours are quite concentrated, the wine is now entering its excellent drinking phase.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2017 Freycinet Louis Pinot Noir (EAST COAST): \u003cspan style=\"color: #999999;\"\u003eBoth of the 2017 Freycinet wines impressed with their power without force, persistence and bell-clear fruit. I've gone for the 'junior' Louis with its spice and soft, sweet fruit. Easy drinking with just about anything.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2018 Ghost Rock Estate Pinot Noir (PORT SORELL NW): \u003cspan style=\"color: #999999;\"\u003eWinemaker and owner Justin Arnold has been doing a lot of tweaking of the viticulture and block selection over the last few years and it shows. This is a more generous wine from Ghost Rock with excellent clarity of fruit, and lovely glycerol flow over the palate.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2018 Pooley Butchers Hill Pinot (COAL R V): \u003cspan style=\"color: #999999;\"\u003eGet this while you can... I'm not the only person to love the raspberry-scented fruit, spice and fleshy plushness of Pooley's single vineyard pinot from Richmond. Very limited availability.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2016 Bream Creek Reserve Pinot (EAST COAST) \u003cspan style=\"color: #999999;\"\u003eWhat a wine! Hits all the right spots, and then a few more. Totally satisfying, harmonious, full-flavoured pinot noir with dark cherry, plum and mocha notes.
