This is a relatively new label on the Tasmanian Pinot scene and the fruit comes a new viticultural area - Longford in Tasmania's northern Midlands. Given the quality of the 2017 Bell & Gong Pinot, and the amazing accolades it has received this year, expect to see more happening in this locale. Frances and Simon Stewart's vineyard is planted to largely the Abel (or 'Gumboot') clone, made famous by Ata Rangi of Martinborough, New Zealand.
Michele's notes: Medium bodied pinot with lovely perfume - an enticing meld of red cherry, strawberry and wet slate. It is soft and full in the mouth, with a lush, slightly grainy texture. The flavours linger well.
