Brinktop 2022/23 Killara Pinot Noir

Brinktop was established in 2017 by Gill Christian and Todd Goebel at Penna (between Richmond and Sorell) at the southern limit of the Coal River Valley in Tasmania. The north-east facing slopes of this site are cooled by breezes off nearby Frederick Henry Bay. This aids in retaining perfume and freshness in the wines. 'Killara' is the premium Pinot in the Brinktop range. The wine is made from from a single block planted with the Pommard clone.

Michele's notes: An outstanding release. Deep, rich colour with a glorious bouquet. Inviting aromas of plum, dark cherry, red roses and coffee/mocha. All these elements come through on the palate. The bold and intense flavours are splendidly balanced by perfect acidity and subtle oak. The lingering flavours are delicious.
