Westella is a small, pinot-focused vineyard, planted by the Adkins family at Rowella on the western bank of the Tamar, just north of the Batman Bridge.
Richly hued with crimson and magenta. Ripe plum on the nose with dark cherry, charcuterie notes and exotic spices. It is immediately appealing - think Chinese roasted duck! All this continues on the palate which is chock full of flavoursome and flowing plum and briar fruits. Cranberry liveliness on the finish and a little salty lick. Ultra fine tannins.
