Apogee Tasmania Deluxe Vintage Sparklings

Apogee is Tasmanian wine pioneer Andrew Pirie's culmination of all that he has learned in more than forty years in Tasmania. The focus is on sparkling from a single site in the ultra cool Lebrina locale of north east Tasmania. As these wines are produced from a single site and are hand-crafted they are entitled to use the term 'Deluxe Method' to describe the production.

Apogee Brut Vintage Sparkling: Cumquat, lemon curd, toasted nuts but also bright red fruits, and a very soft, creamy mouth-feel with ultra, ultra fine bubbles. It's essentially refreshing but rich. The composition is 39% pinot noir, 53% chardonnay and 8% pinot meunier

Apogee Rose Vintage Sparkling: A stunning Apogee vintage Rose release. Fine bead, lovely mouthfeel, glides across the palate, the acid beautifully tucked. Overall impression is of softness and sumptuousness. Composition is 76% pinot noir, 12% chardonnay, 12% pinot meunier. The pinot noir component is grown in the drier section of the vineyard which adds flavour richness despite the modest alcohol of 12.5%
