Chardonnay - Apsley Gorge 2023 Chardonnay

Brian Franklin's Apsley Gorge Vineyard is situated 14km north of Bicheno on Tasmania's East Coast. The very long season builds intense flavour and texture in the wines.

Michele's notes: Immediately beguiling and exotic perfume - ripe yellow peach, cumquat, nougat, toasted coconut and while lily. The interaction between the toasty elements of first class oak and pure, ripe fruit is sensational.

In the mouth, the promises of the bouquet are met. It is smooth and ultra silky but also vibrant with limey/grapefruit elements. And then the classic barley sugar/glycerol finish kicks in.
