Kelvedon Estate is at Swansea on Tasmania's sunny east coast. This is a special 'reserve' level release in the range of Kelvedon Pinot Noirs. It is a barrel selection from a single clone (MV6) off a single block (Block 5).
Vintage 2019 - Ryan O'Malley notes: Deep garnet in colour. Vibrant aromas of brambly berry fruits jump out of the glass. Strawberry too, with a hint of spice and some creamy oak. The palate opens with great poise and elegance expressing flavours of fresh red plum and macerated cherry. This fruit focus is underpinned by textural tannins building to a dry savoury finish complemented by subtle fine-grained oak. This perfect balance means approachable drinking whilst maintaining the structure for broad food matching opportunities, but 5 spice duck would be the go!
