- 2014 Mac Forbes Wesburn Pinot Noir: Mike Bennie Winefront 96points: 'Smells of earth, rose petals, black pepper, briar, game meat. In the palate, tight, rustic, earthy and rippling with DNA strands of dusty tannin. Orange peel, amaro herbs, sweet spice flood the palate. Wild expression of pinot noir but so very, very compelling. And such delicacy, even with firm tannin. Exquisite.'
- 2014 Mac Forbes Yarra Junction Pinot Noir: Mike Bennie Winefront 94 points '...Exotic red fruit scents, touch of watermelon, some pomegranate, leafy notes, white pepper. Fleshy in the mouth, but very light on its feet. See through, in a way, but shows some sweetness, lacy tannins, fine, fine structure. Squeaks into its finish and pinches with chalky tannins. Tension throughout. Super.'
- 2014 Mac Forbes Coldstream Pinot Noir: Mike Bennie Winefront 93 points '...Serious smelling. Red cherries, nutmeg, rose petals, sweet spice. Cloud of scent. Sloshes around the palate well then finds some nip and tuck with crisp acidity and fine tannins. Fresh through the finish, almost watery in loose knit acidity, but not quite. It’s a guzzler. Delicious.'
- 2014 Mac Forbes Yarra Valley Pinot Noir: 100% Yarra Valley from a blend of single vineyards. Producer notes: 'Wild red berries... lifted florals/violets coupled with fine, gravelly tannins bringing some savoury to the sweet. A long strong finish.'
ARDEA SEAL - Mac Forbes' 2014 Single Vineyard Pinots are bottled under Italian closure, Ardea Seal, which is made from three distinct components: 'a polypropylene chassis to maintain rigidity inside the thermoplastic elastomer body with an inert techno-polymer shield that is the only part in contact with the wine.'
