Nocton Vineyard 2021 Pinot Noir
Winery : Nocton Vineyard
Nocton Vineyard was established in Tasmania's Coal Valley in 1999. The property was originally part of the Carrington Plains estate (c1814), owned by a succession of early Governors of Van Diemans Land. The vines are planted on north-east facing slopes of dolerite soils over calcareous and sandstone subsoils.
Michele's notes: The colour is rich and deep and the wine smells divinely of black berry and briar fruits, with a distinct note of blackcurrant jubes to the fore. This is no shrinking violet pinot, its chock full of delicious flavours tending to black cherries, mocha and liquorice strap. Fine, dry and slightly astringent tannins wrap things up perfectly.
