Lauren and Matthias Utzinger have been producing wine from Tamar Valley fruit since vintage 2018. In that year they also planted their own vineyard near Legana, and it is now the source of superb Pinot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah grapes. In a very short time, Matthias has developed a reputation as one of the state's best winemakers.
The Black Label Estate Pinot Noir is the premium Pinot Noir in the Utzinger range.
Michele's notes: Richly aromatic - cherry ripe, brioche, red peppercorns and damask roses. Vibrant fruit with a salty/iodine lick. Fruit sweetness is backed good acidity and savoury/charcuterie elements from the oak.
