Utzinger 2023 Pinot Noir

Swiss winemaker Matthias Utzinger settled in Tasmania after meeting his Tasmanian-born, wife-to-be Lauren on his travels. Before planting in the Tamar Valley, Matthias worked for Stefano Lubiana at the then newly purchased Panorama vineyard in the Huon. Matthias also makes wine for other producers in the Tamar Valley, a testament to his reputation as a fine winemaker.

Michele's notes: Harmonious and aromatic with lively aromas of cherry, white pepper, red roses and hint of ginseng. The more the wine breathes, the more aromatic it becomes.

In the mouth there is a great balance between sweet, ripe fruit, subtle savoury oak and just the right amount of acid for refreshment. Softly dry finish. A lovely iteration.
