Quiet Mutiny 2022 Venus Rising Pinot Noir

Winemaker Greer Carland is the daughter of Kerry Carland of Laurel Bank, a pioneer of the Granton area of Tasmania's Derwent Valley. She has been making wine in Tasmania for 14 years, including as Senior Winemaker with contract giant Tasmanian Vintners (the formerly named Winemaking Tasmania). Quiet Mutiny is her own project, producing wines from small parcels of premium Tasmanian fruit.

In this vintage the fruit is mostly from Coal River Valley (for structure) and a 'splash' of Derwent Valley (for luscious texture).

Michele's notes: Glittering deep colour, intense small berry fruits, manifesting as blackcurrant jelly. Tasty and sleek in the mouth with lively fruit and plenty of layered depth. Vanilla from the oak at the last, complementing the fine tannins. Clean finish.
