ITALY - Fondo Antico Grillo Parlante

Fondo Antico Grillo Parlante has that rare quality for a white wine of being full bodied but also fresh. It opens up with fine florals, then richer apricot, complementing the smooth texture in the mouth. The finish is zesty.

While Grillo is a classic Sicilian variety, its cultivation is not that old; DNA studies suggest it is a natural cross between (very dry) Cattaratto Bianco and Zibibbo. Fondo Antico is considered a top producer of grillo in Sicily.
